Krug Clos d’Ambonnay Champagne 2008

Released after over 15 years ageing in Krug’s cellars, the Krug Clos d’Ambonnay 2008 is one of Champagne’s most sought-after recent releases and a fitting tribute to one of the greatest vintages of the modern era.

Founded in 1843 by Joseph Krug, the House of Krug has long pursued a singular philosophy: to create the most generous expression of Champagne, regardless of vintage conditions. Clos d’Ambonnay represents the ultimate expression of that vision—a single-vineyard, single-variety, single-vintage Champagne produced from a tiny 0.68-hectare walled vineyard in the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay, using 100% Pinot Noir.

Just 4,725 bottles of the 2008 were produced, earning a perfect 100-point score from Antonio Galloni. A monumental Champagne that will undoubtedly rank amongst the greatest releases of the house in the years to come.
